in Ubuntu

AD

4.1.1.1 I currently use Linux Mint operating system to produce Web Pages. A big part of my web pages is using screenshots. These screenshots need to be resized for the web page.

4.1.1.2 Start with pressing the prt sc button. The following pop-up box will appear. I have marked the radio button Select a region. The pop-up box will disappear. Drag and drop you cursor to mark a region to be captured.

4.1.1.3 After selecting the region with the mouse a new pop-up box will appear. Here I am going to Copy to the clipboard.

4.1.1.4 I will now Paste the screenshot into my LibreOffice Writer web page rough draft. I need the screenshot to be no larger that 6.5 inches. Right click on the screenshot in your rough draft, and select Properties. Type in a Width of 6.5. Keep ratio. Click OK. The screenshot will now be resized to 6.5 inches. Tricky, huh.

4.1.1.5 The screenshot is easily transferred to an image folder for your web page. Right click on the screenshot and select Save. Navigate to where you want the file saved. Name the file and Save the file.
